Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Person(s) hired will perform a variety of Natural Resource related work including but not limited to: Landscaping around specific areas, cleaning and removing material, must be able to lift 50 pounds or more, must be able to run weed eater, chainsaw, lawnmower etc. All work will be under the direct supervision of the Natural Resource Manager.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Recommended):

Knowledge:

Knowledge of cleaning removing material as needed

• Knowledge of running power tools and maintaining the equipment
• Planting riparian corridor vegetation
• Dripline installation for riparian vegetation
• Collecting riparian vegetation for greenhouse propagation
• Planting riparian corridor vegetation

Abilities:

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to write clear daily reports and complete assigned documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Community Development, Planning or have a combination of education and progressively responsible experience working with land management and tribal government.
• Applicant must demonstrate positive communication skills, excellent writing skills and research skills.
• Applicant must have Geographic Information Systems analysis skills and background.
• Applicant must be computer literate and show demonstrated ability with a variety of software applications.
• Applicant must be able to travel as necessary as approved by the supervisor.
• Knowledge in Public Land Surveys.
• Knowledge concerning land Appraisals.
• Current Real Estate knowledge a must.

Minimum Qualifications And Education:

1. High School Graduate or G.E. D. equivalent.
2. Must be 18 vears of age.
3. Must possess a valid CA Driver's License.
4. Must be of good character and be able to pass a background investigation.
5. Must be highly motivated.
6. Must be able to meet, cooperate, and deal effectively with the general public and have good public relations.
7. Mature, responsible person who is able to work well with others.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

1. The duties of the position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking, running, hiking, standing, and exposure to inclement weather.
2. Manual dexterity with cooperatively free motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints required.
3. Arms, hands, legs and feet must be fully functional in order that applicants may perform the duties without complications.
4. Near vision eye-sight is permitted.
5. The ability of applicants to hear the conversational voice and whisper without the use of a hearing-aid/ device is required.
6. Since the duties of the position are exacting and responsible, and involve activities under trying conditions, applicants must possess emotional and mental stability.
7. Any mental or physical condition, which causes the applicant to be hazardous to their self or others; shall be disqualified for the position.
8. Incumbent is required to work during inclement weather patterns.
