Two (2) Tribal Police Officers

General Responsibilities:

Qualifications Include:

CA Post Certificate or Equivalent, US Citizen, High School Graduate, 21 Years old or older, Current valid Class C California Driver’s License, able to pass Extensive background investigation and drug test.

The Round Valley Indian Tribes are accepting applications for Tribal Police Officers. Two (2) positions.  Minimum eligibility. Tribal Business Administrator, Tribal Operations

General Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Tribal Council, the Tribal Business Administrator plans, manages, and coordinates the day to day operations of the Tribal government under the general supervision of the Tribal Council.  The Tribal Business Administrator oversees the tribal businesses, supervises administrative staff, and implements tribal policies.  The Tribal Business Administrator serves as primary advisor to the Tribal Council.

Qualifications Include:

The ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries; to utilize professionalism and diplomacy with those who may be experiencing high degrees of stress; maintain confidentiality with tribal members, government operations, and staff; communicate effectively with tribal members and staff members from a variety of backgrounds (professional, technical, clerical, etc.); The ability to provide leadership by: Being a strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus; well-organized and self-directed, politically savvy, and a team player; an intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels; and a decisive individual who possesses big picture perspective; and the ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, derive conclusions and devise solutions to management problems.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting with an emphasis in management. Master’s degree preferred; Minimum requirement of five (5) years in supervisory management with increasing administrative responsibilities; and

must be able to travel when necessary; Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, dependable vehicle and auto insurance; must pass pre-employment drug screening and agree to submit to random drug testing.

Tribal Social Worker (ICWA ADVOCATE)

General Responsibilities:

Under general supervision of the Child and Family Services Manager, the incumbent will carry a complex case load involving individuals and families through the provision of prevention and intervention services; performance assignments involving individualized treatment and specialized application of casework methods and skills; provision of comprehensive casework services; WRAP facilitator, organizing Team and child family meetings and perform related work as required . Individual must be energetic, forward thinking and practice from a trauma informed perspective with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.

Qualifications Include:

Knowledge of Socio economic conditions and trends; current issues in the field of social welfare; the general principles of public assistance policies and programs; knowledge and understanding of local Tribal communities including cultural values and beliefs, history, family systems and community; knowledge of local, State and Federal standards, legislation and requirements associated with social work and Tribal communities, especially ICWA; maintain strict confidentiality; work independently with moderate direction. Requires a four – year degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology from an accredited University plus two years’ work experience. Requires a Masters’ Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology from an accredited University plus two years’ work experience. Must not have misdemeanor/felony offenses related to controlled substance of alcohol or drugs within the past ten years, or any misdemeanor or felony offenses related to abuse, neglect, or endangerment of a child or elder.

Round Valley Indian Tribal TANF Deputy Director

General Responsibilities:

Under the supervisionof the RVTT Executive Director, Deputy Director shall possess the knowledge,skills and experience necessary to competently perform supervisor duties aswell as case management activities. The Deputy Director shall understand theRVTT participant/client population and provide guidance towards developingpolices and practice setting to understand what services RVTT participantswould benefit from. To relieve the Executive Director of a variety ofadministrative details and to facilitate communication between ExecutiveDirector and RVTT staff and RVTT participants. Assist in coordination of officeactivities in support of the RVTT with programmatic objectives. Supervises theRVTT Caseworkers directly. Handles sensitive materials, issues and confidentialassignments with tact and diplomacy. Assist with yearly audit functions. AssistRVTT Caseworkers with difficult RVTT participants/clients or clients that havenot met work participation hours, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

Associate of Arts Degree preferred in Social Sciences or related field and minimum one (1) year experience in related field required OR High School Diploma and minimum of Four (4) year experience in related field. Computer Skills are Required: knowledge of database software entry and work processing software and contact management systems. Experience working with Native Communities, some travel, hours may vary. Post-employment criminal background check, drug test, and random drug testing thereafter. You must possess a valid California driver’s license (DMV Printout required). Must be available for travel.

Interim Executive Secretary

General Responsibilities:

This person will work under the supervision of the Tribal Business Administrator, and/or in his/her absence the Tribal President. IES requires difficult and responsible secretarial work to relive the Tribal Business Administrator of a wide verity of administrative office details. Maintain a follow up system reflecting deadline dates for submission of information comments, etc., requested of Tribal Office. This person shall attend all regular and special meetings of the Round Valley Indian Tribal Council. IES shall keep a full report of all proceedings of each regular and special meeting of the Tribal Council.

This person shall attend to all the correspondence of the Tribal Council under the direction of the Business Administrator. Prepare agendas for each regular and special meetings of the Tribal Council.

Qualifications Include:

Two (2) years college with business as a major preferred, and/or four (4) years experience in work which demonstrated possession of the ability to perform secretarial work above the trainee/work experience level, or served as personal clerical assistant or aide to a professional, technical, supervisory, administrative, executive or similar employer. Must have a definite demonstrated background of maintaining confidentially of program activates, personnel actions and proposed or projected program modifications.

Must maintain a business like relationship with other staff members and any representative from other agencies.

Requires awareness and taken appreciation of Indian traditions, customs, and social economic needs and the organizations consisting of numerous tribes with varied cultures which require tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness, and good judgment in handling functions of the sensitive nature. Must have knowledge in understanding and interpreting contracts and agreements. etc. Possesses working knowledge of funding agencies that work with the Round Valley Indian Tribal Council and various other programs under the auspices of the Tribal Council. Must have knowledge of writing tribal resolutions and a general knowledge of writing contracts and legal agreements.

RVIT Child Care Aide for children ages 3-5

General Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Child Care Coordinator and the Early Childcare Education Director, The classroom Aide will provide support through classroom and playground supervision of children, prepare materials for learning activities, participate and guide children in learning activities, assist in provide a safe and sanitary environment for children and work with parents in reference to play children’s needs. Incumbent follows detailed instructions and procedures in accomplishing assignments.

Qualifications Include:

Six (6) units in Early Childhood Education and/or be willing to earn units while on the job.

Minimum of (1) one-year experience (paid or unpaid in working with young children). Must be capable of building a relationship with students and parents. Energetic enough to keep up with the children. Complete and pass a physical medical examination as well as extensive detailed background check
