This position will direct, coordinate and manage all aspects of the Tribe’s Indian Child Welfare Program, including the implementation of direct services. Works closely with an Advisory Committee, and in some cases, work situations, with the Tribal Council.

Under general supervision of the Child and Family Services Director, the incumbent will carry a complex case load involving individuals and families through the provision of prevention and intervention services; performance assignments involving individualized treatment and specialized application of casework methods and skills; provision of comprehensive casework services; WRAP facilitator, organizing Team and child family meetings and perform related work as required. The individual must be energetic, forward thinking and practice from a trauma informed perspective with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image providing services to crime victim children.

The Safe Exchange Advocate ensures that families receive services to promote safety and well-being of children and survivor parent through supervised visitation. The advocate ensures children can visit with their non-residential parents and family members in a supervised setting at designated locations or in an unsupervised setting by facilitating a safe exchange between residential and visiting parents’/family members. The Safe Exchange Advocate also connects families to needs based services internally and externally. The Safe Exchange Advocate shall be an individual who is self-motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure. Hours may include weekends and evenings. Position also requires working and traveling between site locations.
